Corwith Cramer, July 2019
The Corwith Cramer is a tall ship (specifically a brigantine) owned by the Sea Education Association (SEA) sailing school, named after SEA's founding director. Her home port is Woods Hole, Massachusetts, United States. She was designed by Wooden and Marean specifically for SEA and was constructed by ASTACE in 1987 in Bilbao, Spain. She is a 134-foot (41 m) steel brigantine built as a research vessel for operation under sail, and generally sails in the Atlantic Ocean.
In the summer of July 2019 I was onboard as student crew member for two weeks sailing from Woods Hole through Stallwagen Bank and out beyond the continental shelf. Click on the picture to view my digital logbook.
The Shamrock is a Galeasen school boat owned by Skeppsholmsgården in Stockholm. In the summer of 2018 when I was in 10th grade and 15 years old I sailed the Stockholm Archipelago with a crew of 20 mostly 18-20 year old students up to Umeå and back to Stockholm over a period of 4 weeks.
Lova is a small tall ship that I sailed in the summer between 5th and 6th grade in 2014. There were only 8 other students onboard.
SY/Ellen is the first Tall Ship I sailed on back in the summer of 2013 between 4th and 5th grade. It was a great experience to be out on the Stockholm Archipelago with 20 other kids my age and learn the ropes so to speak. It was definitely a defining experience for me because I sought to repeat the experience again and again and continue to love sailing on large ships.
